About Me
I am Zoya Khan
When my brother left for college, he handed me something far more valuable than just advice- he handed me the responsibility of leading our family's nonprofit, Khancares.org. At first, I wasn't sure if I was ready to fill his shoes, but as I began connecting with families in India, I realized how deeply this work mattered to me. Each Zakat donation we collected became more than just financial support, it became a doorway for underprivileged girls to step into classrooms and imagine new possibilities for their lives. Seeing the joy in their emails and messages and hearing their stories reminded me of why education and opportunity are so powerful. That same sense of purpose now guides my dream of becoming a doctor. Just as Khancares works to uplift young women through education, I hope to uplift patients through medicine- combining service, empathy, and knowledge to create lasting change in people's lives

Our Family's Philanthropic Journey: A Legacy of Compassion and Transformation
Our family's journey in philanthropy began with my mother’s decision to sponsor the education of an autorickshaw driver's bright son, enabling him to attend the same private school that she attended, where he thrived and graduated with pride. Inspired by this success, my family funded the education of another autorickshaw driver's daughter who then became a successful dentist.
My mother's dedication and generosity extended beyond education. She also covered the wedding expenses of the family's longtime domestic helper and driver, and then funded their children's education. Their gratitude and success continues to motivate us.
As a high school student, my brother Zain Khan decided to start KhanCaresOrg, a non-profit dedicated to supporting underprivileged children. Since he has gone to college, I am taking over the reins of running the Organization. The organization aims to provide educational opportunities, study materials, school supplies, and mentorship programs to ensure every child can succeed. KhanCaresOrg's mission is to create a brighter future, inspired by the stories of those my family has helped.

Meet Zoya Khan, our current Executive Director, who brings youthful energy, fresh ideas, and a unique perspective to our initiatives carrying the legacy of her brother Zain Khan who is the original Founder of the organization. Alongside is a devoted mother Syeda Sumera Khan, whose nurturing spirit and organizational skills ensure our projects run smoothly and efficiently. Complementing the team is a committed father Syed Ahmed Khan, providing strategic direction and a wealth of experience to guide our mission.
